STAFF SERIES!

Every staff member gets to make a beer, from recipe design to brew day.

If they don't know how to brew, we pair them with the brewer of their choice to walk through the desired elements and we give them a hand. These beers have been exciting for H&S because they get the brewers out of their comfort zone, and bring ideas to the brew schedule that they might not have had on their own. These are creative beers, that are always delicious, and reflect the tastes of our staff. Ask your bartender which staff beer is on tap!

The Pourus Pale is a supremely drinkable American Pale with a light body and a supreme hop presence highlighted by lemon citrus, pineapple, pine, and herbal character. Brewed specially for our friends at the Parkway Pour House.

2019 World Beer Cup Gold Medal Winner! The Bivouac BIPA has a bold hop presence with notes of resin, pine, orange and grapefruit citrus that coats the palate. Dark malts give the Bivouac a blast of coffee and roast that is not harsh, but compliments the hop profile and finishes dry. At 8.9% ABV, there is some alcohol heat that warms nicely but is not overpowering.

After 15 months in Hungarian & American oak, we bottle conditioned this blend for 4 months. Realgar presents with an excellent balance of moderate-high acidity, notes of cherries & blueberries, charred oak w/ hints of vanilla and toasted nuts.

This double IPA is bitter, bold and beautiful. Brewed and dry hopped with copious amounts of Cashmere, Citra, and Ekuanot, Walter's Revenge has a very dank, ripened tropical fruit and citrus aroma that would make any kitty excited to take a whiff. Bitter, dry, and crisp with fruit, resin, and pine flavors, watch out or Walter will get his revenge on you!

2017 GABF Bronze Medal Winner! Our Northern German Altbier is crisp and drinkable with a malt forward character, medium bitterness and a dry finish.
EJ's ESB
EJ's ESB
Staff Series Beer! A classic English Ale hi-lighted by Crisp Heritage Maris Otter and Simpsons Golden Promise malt, and fermented with Scottish Ale Yeast. This brew has a balanced malt sweetness and complex biscuit character. It is well rounded with UK hops providing the perfect amount of bitterness and earth. Queen Elizabeth would've been happy to enjoy this very British beer.

Red Planet Fruited Sour
Red Planet Fruited Sour
Our collaboration with Cherry St. Brewing Co. Red planet has a base of Red X malt and was soured in the fermenter. Montmorency and Balaton cherries, combined with an addition of sweet orange peel in the kettle, unite to present a moderately sour, extremely juicy, and refreshing rocket ship of flavor. The Martians would be proud.
